Where is Biometric authentication data stored?
For our iris authentication systems, data is stored nowhere, in raw form. Infisign uses zero-knowledge proofs, which means your iris is turned into a secure mathematical template. When you log in, the system checks a new scan against that template without ever exposing or storing the actual biometric data.
What happens if an iris authentication fails?
Access is denied and logged instantly. Repeated failures trigger a lockout or step-up check, like a passkey, before another attempt is allowed.
Is an iris scan better than a fingerprint?
Both are strong. Iris patterns are more complex and don't wear down like fingerprints, especially for gloved or clinical use. Infisign supports both.
